Ingredients:
- 2 pounds Brisket, sliced.
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Method:
- In a large bowl, add the soy sauce, ground black pepper and the brown sugar. Mix the ingredients well.
- Put the steak in a plastic sealable container and pour the soy sauce mixture ove the top. Place the sealed container the refrigerator and leave for 24 hours.
- In your oven, put the top rack to the highest position and add some foil to the bottom to catch any drippings.
- Heat the oven to gas mark 1 or 140°C / 275°F.
- Insert a wooden cocktail stick into each end of the slice of meat. Suspend the meat on the top rack of the oven.
- Back in the oven with the door slightly open.
- You should back for 5 to 8 hours.
- To test if the jerky is ready, it should bend but not snap.
